Staff at a charity shop in Hitchin, Hertfordshire had a shock when a donated bag of curtains was found to also contain a snake.

Help the Aged store manager, Nick Stokes, said: "We had a look in the bag and at first we thought it was a rubber snake."

if the person did not want the snake why did they not just try to either sell it or contact the RSPCA who would have found it a new home.
