TheMacGuffin Posted October 16, 2012 #102 Share Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) I think it's pretty safe to say that there are plenty of reports about UFOs and other anomalies on the Moon and have been for centuries. We have plenty of astronaut and cosmonaut reports about those, and some who state that contact with ETs have already been made. Naturally I don't find that particularly shocking or controversial. I could easily see the moon as a base for aliens and source of raw materials without it being an actual spaceship in its own right. *snip* Edited October 16, 2012 by Saru Removed video on copyright grounds
TheMacGuffin Posted October 16, 2012 #103 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Harold Urey, a Nobel Prize-winning scientist, thought that the Moon might be hollow and perhaps was an artificially constructed object of some kind.
Space Commander Travis Posted October 16, 2012 #104 Share Posted October 16, 2012 I suggest you read up on the Apollo missions. That is, of course, unless you believe that humans are/were indigenous to the moon (aliens, get it?) I've just got that. Very subtle.

MID Posted October 17, 2012 #111 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Did we stop going to the moon? Yes. The Apollo program was cut very short by President Nixon in late 1969, early 1970. Apollo missions 18 through 20 were scrapped, with no explanation on no rationale. Based on the advances seen on Apollo 15 through 17, those last three would've been spectacular! But the short answer is: Yes, we did stop going to the Moon.

Moon missions could easily have been resurrected within the last 40 years. So either: 1/ Humans ARE already on the moon (just secretly) or 2/ The moon is already occupied by someone (something?) else or 3/ We genuinely have no interest in visiting the moon again I think its 2 or 1. psyche101 Posted October 17, 2012 #114 Share Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Bah humbug and codswallop, the moon does not even exist, it's a hoax! LINK - The Mad Revisionist. In 1995, the American Historical Association, in an attempt to stifle revisionist scholarship, marked the 50th anniversary of the defeat of Nazism with a resolution calling on scholars to "initiate plans now to study the significance of the Holocaust." This, however, was not enough of a blow to free academic discourse for the enemies of truth. The president of the AHA, William Leuchtenburg, was asked why the resolution did not go so far as to explicitly recognize the Holocaust as a fact of history. He answered that for a group of historians to say that there had been a Holocaust was tantamount to "an organization of astronomers saying there is a moon." While, on the surface, this appears as nothing more than a shameless attempt to trivialize and thereby discredit the work of revisionists, it nonetheless got me to thinking: why did this historian single out the moon? Why would a scholar, so familiar with academic standards of evidence, use such language to imply that the existence of the moon, unlike any other issue, was a given and not subject to proof? What, in other words, was he trying to hide? It was then that I embarked on my research, which has led me to this day when I can confidently make the following assertion: The Moon does not exist. As I realize this revelation may appear shocking to the average reader, allow me to repeat it: The Moon does not exist! This is no lie. Until recently, I, too, believed in the traditional, establishment view of the moon. But any thinking person, untainted by the biases imposed on us by the controlled media, will have no choice but to reach the conclusion I did once faced with the facts described in this account. itsnotoutthere Posted October 17, 2012 #120 Share Posted October 17, 2012 I would pay attention to Isaac Asimov. He is more than likely the most knowledgeable person that ever lived. And so he decided to become a writer of fiction.
Space Commander Travis Posted October 17, 2012 #121 Share Posted October 17, 2012 And so he decided to become a writer of fiction. does that mean that he need have no knowledge of what he wrote? A lot of the most knowledgeable people use the medium of fiction, and a lot of fiction writers know more about the subject than many "experts". see also Arthur C. Clarke. TheMacGuffin Posted October 17, 2012 #125 Share Posted October 17, 2012 In 1968, the original Star Trek featured an episode about a planet that was really a big spaceship called "For the World Is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky", which perhaps was trying to convey a higher truth to the viewers. Who knows?
