The percentages aren't how "much" you are that religion, the results are how closely aligned your beliefs are with a specific faith (which is why you can have two 100% matches). Basically, you're beliefs have nearly nothing in common with the LDS.

I think it's dumb they have Scientology in this list at all. No one knows what Scientologists believe except for Scientologists (and even then, the vast majority don't know), their "doctrine" and beliefs are hidden from the public and hidden from active members until they shell out enough dough to be told what they believe.

Scientology should be removed from the results list and they should include the Anabaptists (Mennonite, Brethren, Hutterite, and Amish) instead which don't appear in the results list at all. If they did, I'd rank high with the liberal Mennonites, but they aren't included.

It's a highly spiritual faith which doesn't believe in sin or original sin, and have no specific rites of baptism. They have no bias for gender roles (aka men and women are 100% equal) and they have no specific ideas about divorce and marriage. They have some belief in modern day prophets. Of course, reading about Christian Science can clear some of that up. But it's not surprising most people with rather loose, perhaps new age ideas about christian faith will align with Christian Science in some way.

This shows me that your ideas about faith and the practice thereof probably isn't really very concrete, or you contradicted yourself when answering the questions. While Eastern Orthodoxy and Roman Catholic are extremely closely related, Orthodox Quaker is more or less the opposite of Catholism. William Penn was probably the most famous Orthodox Quaker. Orthodox Quakers are often compared to the Mennonite and Amish (although there are some fundamental differences) but it's one of the "Plain" no frills, mostly protestant, christian spiritualist religions. They don't necessarily believe in the Trinity. They DEFINITELY don't believe in water baptism or the confession of sins. They don't believe in "clergy" and in fact outright reject the Nicean creed. Pretty much everything that's important in Cathlolicsm and E. Orthodoxy is completely unimportant or outright rejected in Orthodox Quakerism.

Huh, while I sort of expectantly topped out at Non Religious, Liberal Quaker is still in the top three.

Liberal Quakerism and Universal Unitarianism will appear very high on most agnostic, theists, deists and sometimes atheists lists. They tend to have no dogma, and no cohesive or pervasive beliefs. Theyre both "all welcome, no questions asked" faiths. You attend for community, and will have a hard time finding two people who believe the same things about the nature of God.

I've taken the test a few times for fun. I always get Mahayana Buddhism, Hinduism and Theravada Buddhism as my close top 3, although they switch between which one is 100%. (Jainism is always my 4th) Apparently my answers change since a lot of the stuff to me is 'Not Applicable' for various reasons, and some of the answers I consider a few to be "correct" or "part-truth" but none to be entirely correct, and I change the 'importance' based on that... while some I would like to select all of the above. Haha

My main philosophies I adhere to and try to follow, though, are purification, discipline, non-violence, selflessness, love, and fidelity. An honest desire for wisdom and to know (draw close to) God in order to help and love fully. And I also believe God to be "in" all things but beyond all things, the source of all things, but transcending all things etc. I believe in "Dharma" (Buddhism) or in Judeo-Christian/Muslim language "the Law" or in Taoism 'The Tao'.

*edit* Wow, I just did some reading and realized that I am Panentheistic. I had not known such a term existed. Before I just adhered to the fact that I accepted Monism, Monotheism, AND Pantheism, but that none expounded the whole truth. But apparently there is such a thing as Monistic Panentheism which believes in a Monotheistic 'God' that is omnipotent and all-pervading, and both transcendent and immanent.

Re: MMW, the religion quiz list hadn't include the Mennonite (i.e. Old order Amish among them) and Hutterite sects. To clear the confusion: the Old order Amish are known to avoid modern technology, while many Mennonites are known to adopt it while they maintain the religious denomination.

which i think will suprise a lot of regular readers. It suprised me a bit and has changed since last i did it, but i know that as i get older, i become more spiritual and decreasingly religious. So perhaps it makes sense. I actually live mostly like an early biblical christian would have done, but obviously i dont think exactly like one

I know that i am not exclusivist, and see many paths to the one god, even though i have chosen a rather narrow and specific one to live by because it works very well for me..

I just googled univwersal unitarianism and the following exerpts do resonate with me very strongly.

Uh, yes Mike, I know, there is no confusion on my part. I'm quite familier with the Anabaptists. They should have been included in the list of results. Just because they largely shun technology doesnt mean they should have been left out. They could have listed them as Anabaptists in general I suppose since they're mostly all schisms of Mennonites. They aren't Catholic, they aren't even particularly protestant either... therefore they somewhat stand on their own with their own fairly specific beliefs.

I think such tests are entertaining, but I don't put a lot of stock in them. Sometimes none of the answers to the questions are precisely what I believe.

My top 3 have usually been Orthodox Quaker, Reform Judaism, and Sikhism. Islam sometimes fits in there in the top 5.

None of those apply to me really. I'm what's sometimes referred to as a B'nai Noach, "son of Noah."
