They werent Humans like us.

There has been proof for a long time that there were other homo species before us and co existing with us at different times in the past.

Perhaps Neandertals were hairy as apes? Perhaps they were the origin of myth of the Yeti, Sasquatch, or abomidable snowman? There is no evidence that Neandertals ever used needles or thread yet they were able to somehow survive in Northern latitudes during the depths of the ice ages? Neandertals are always portrayed hairless like us but it is just as likely that homo sapiens were the only hairless apes and all those that came before us were as hairy (or more so) than our early ape-like ancestors?

I dont know how accurate it is to say they "came before us" since we existed at the same time, in the same place. The were our competition not our ancestors. As far as using a needle and thread, I dont know how how necessary they would be in skinning an animal and draping the hide over yourself.

Yeah, Neanderthal's were ugly. I'm guessing that's where the word "THRALL" originates from, a sort of slave-like people of low intelligence. It's no wonder the early German's pushed out the Neandethal's from Northern Europe, even though the Neanderthals outweighed them and were more brutal in a primitive sense, they were banished into the Middle East anyways. I read though that thousands of years of mixing European bloods has given nearly everyone alive today traces of Neanderthal DNA in their gene-pools. Of course Middle Eastern people have the most abundant amounts of Neanderthal DNA and many of them even keep the face structure and outward appearance and likeness of what Neanderthals looked like.
