George Ford Posted May 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2011 If an existing creature that we have proven exists had never been discovered and we heard someone explaining it, what do you think the most unbelievable one would be? I'd probably not believe that a squid exists, i mean they swim fast, go from the surface to great depths, can change colour, they have tentacles on their head, they have powerful suckers with hooks in them, they have massive eyes and a beak! etc
Paruggia Posted May 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2011 probably a narwhal It looks like a beluga but with a 2-3 meter long horn it would probobly be nicknamed the sea unicorn.

Agent D. Scully Posted May 17, 2011 #15 Share Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) Imagine being told about a horse-like creature with a big long neck that eats tree leaves. I say girraffe. Or... What about Cappybaras(spelling?) They are esentially giant guinea pigs that live in the jungle. Edited May 17, 2011 by Agent D. Scully

Ozner Posted May 18, 2011 #19 Share Posted May 18, 2011 I'm gonna have to agree with bacteria. You mean to tell me that there are tiny creatures that we can't see? And that they're everywhere? EVEN INSIDE OUR BODIES? AAAAAHAAHHHHHHH!!!! Also, platypuses.
fawkes2 Posted May 18, 2011 #20 Share Posted May 18, 2011 For me, it would be the Proboscis monkey.
Skeptic Chicken Posted May 18, 2011 #21 Share Posted May 18, 2011 Contrary to the Platypus, I'd say the Basking Shark. A masive fish several meters long. A gaping mouth lined with bones. Swallows its prey whole (of course, if this was back in the days when people forget to mention that they prey on tiny fish, then it'd be pretty horrific for the listeners). Wandering Posted May 18, 2011 #22 Share Posted May 18, 2011 I live in Australia why are platypus so amazing? >.> I know they are monotreme but Is that really that incredible? I am just average joe so maybe it is just don't seem to crazy when you're constantly seeing them on tv xD Their venomous spurs are weirdly placed though imo! I reckon if I hadn't seen an elephant it might be hard to imagine something of that size without seeing anything like it before, or the komodo dragon! haha good thread!!
