It's been a long road... getting from here to there... It's been a long road, but the end is finally near...

Are we abandoning the Int'l Space Station? Only Russia can supply it now. Bad move, US Government!

Not entirely true. Japan has robot supply ships they send. Don't know the current status of that though. But the Constellation program will be starting and will use the space station to test the new Orion which does low earth orbits and the moon.

Hail and fare well. One door closes, another opens.

As does Europe. In fact there is a European ATV attached at the moment. However only Russia will be able to launch astronauts for the foreseeable future.

You are a bit behind the times. Constellation and the moon landing programme have been cancelled.

NASA will be developing a manned vehicle to go beyond LEO, based on Orion and launched by a shuttle derived heavy launch vehicle.

Astronaut supply to the ISS is up for grabs to the commercial sector. Several companies, including Boeing and SpaceX, are in the running for this.

That is what I thought, that the Constellation program was canceled.
