thanks sky eagle, so, do you know if ANY sort of Shrine has been erected in loving memory? It seems he was more important to the .. "U.S." .. than anyone else?

He served his purpose kill the character off without anyone seeing it.

Has Obama NOT allowed the military to do anything at all?

As for OBL, if they had ACTUALLY captured him, they would have brought him back to the US, paraded him down Madison Avenue with Rudy Giuliani performing some masochistic act upon him.

What's making you think he isn't already nicely set up in the burbs living a "normal" life. I still find it hard to believe that the US had the middle east on lockdown pretty much thermographing anything that looked like anything constantly trying to "find" him. But some good for nothing p***ant made his way accross the desert to deliver the latest video... everytime they made one, but no one ever could trace this bugger going back and forth. o_O there's alot of whooey out there but that is not so easy to swallow via spoon. Too many connections, too many errors, too many variables changing persistantly. Usually when something is so sparatic in pattern it's usually because someone is trying hard to hide their tracks. Pretty sad when Rolls Royce engineers can't recognise their own engines as one of their own apparently.

But it's all good that part of the pentagon leaked anyway. :P

Why do some argue about such ridiculiness.

Even his own people said he was dead.

Buried in the sea, buried in the desert sand, buried in a cave, who cares!!!!!!!!

He's dead!

Yes, BEEN dead for many years.

Bin Laden Releases New Tape

October 01, 2010 1:13 PM

In a new tape released today Osama Bin Laden criticized the Pakistani government for its handling on massive floods in that country, and, oddly, weighed in on climate change.

Even al-Qaeda has admitted that American special forces killed Osama bin Laden.

Al Qaeda admits bin Laden's death online

CAIRO - Al Qaeda on Friday confirmed the killing of Osama bin Laden and warned of retaliation, saying Americans' "happiness will turn to sadness."

The confirmation came in an Internet statement posted on militant websites, signed by "the general leadership" of al Qaeda. The announcement opens the way for the group to name a successor to bin Laden. His deputy Ayman al-Zawahri is now the most prominent figure in the group and is a very likely contender to take his place.

The statement, dated May 3, was the first by the terror network since bin Laden was killed Monday by U.S. commandos in a raid on his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The statement's authenticity could not be independently confirmed, but it was posted on websites where the group traditionally puts out its messages.

Al-Qaeda admits Osama dead, vows revenge

Al-Qaeda confirmed the death of Osama bin Laden Friday in an Internet message that vowed revenge on the US and its allies, including Pakistan, according to a statement issued by the Islamist militant group.

Five days after President Barack Obama announced bin Laden’s death in a US raid in Pakistan, al-Qaeda confirmed the death of its leader as a historic moment, and vowed not to deviate from the path of armed struggle.

Consider that a leadership change occurred within al-Qaeda occurred weeks after the killing of bin Laden.

Al-Zawahiri appointed al Qaeda's new leader, jihadist websites say

Ayman al-Zawahiri, the longtime deputy to Osama bin Laden, will take over leadership of al Qaeda, according to a statement posted on several jihadist websites Thursday.

Al-Qaeda's New Leadership

Following Osama bin Laden's death, the Egyptian-born Saif al-Adel has reportedly been named interim leader of al-Qaeda. Here are some of the new terror head's qualifications:

This demonstrates an over-simplistic, and therefore poor, understanding indeed.

0 out of 10.

There is no set ‘leader’, fixed ‘structure’ or coherent group ‘Al Qaeda’ – looking at the history, this is a Western created myth to present a substantive enemy (a way to drive foreign policy in replacement of the deceased Soviet threat). What there is, is a loose collection of individuals and groups with areas of overlapping common cause – including genuine Jihadists, though the most proactive of which were initiated and extensively infiltrated by intelligence services from the late 80s right up to 9/11 and beyond. There is clear evidence of this and it must lead one to question what ‘Al Qaeda’ really are in the most part and with whom the most influential control rests.

In your case, yes!

Apparently, you were not aware that bin Laden sent a tape in 2010, which meant he was not dead for many years.

That doesn't work, because al-Qaeda admitted that American special forces killed bin Laden, which is why al-Qaeda announced bin Laden's replacement. In other words, American forces kicked bin Laden out of the picture.

Another inane response lacking reason.

Apparently, you were not aware that bin Laden sent a tape in 2010, which meant he was not dead for many years.

Apparently you have not even taken the time to read my recent argument before making judgement, which adds ‘ignorance’ to your long list of failures, i.e. I don’t believe bin Laden was dead until May 2nd, 2011. Do you actually check who you are responding to and whether your comments have any relevance to what is said?

It works fine that ‘Al Qaeda’ is not the structured membership or organization that you want to believe and neither did any statement announce a ‘replacement’ for bin Laden. The gist is rather more that the authors, who identify themselves as leaders of this loosely defined collection, are sorry for bin Laden’s death and will strive to continue his work with al-Zawahiri foremost amir (of which there are many) of the cause.

I agree that American forces ‘kicked bin Laden out of the picture’. Though it appears that intelligence services of the ISI had bin Laden under control ever since 2001.

Say it loud and clear for all to hear! I hope it will be loud enough for other 9/11 conspiracist to hear.

Talk about cherry-picking.... :innocent:

You can't argue with facts and evidence. You've said bin Laden was dead for years, which told me you were unaware that bin Laden released a tape to the Pakistani government in 2010. Once again, if you don't know, it is better to remain quiet than to remove all doubt confirming how much you don't know.

Sky, you IGNORE facts and reason. Further, you HAVE presented fictitious material here.

Once bitten, twice shy, my man.

You defend the Official Conspiracy Theory, and all the facts contradict that theory. It is an invalid theory, and that has been known for years.

Should I go back and repost what you have said? It will prove once again that you cannot be taken seriously because you've said that bin Laden had been dead for years and yet, bin Laden released his tape to Pakistan in 2010.

You defend the Official Conspiracy Theory, and all the facts contradict that theory.

The official story is supported by facts and evidence, while on the other hand you have failed to provide a single shred of evidence that refutes the official story.

You needn't do a thing Sky. Just chill, and enjoy your old age.

Facts are facts, and evidence is evidence, which can't be denied.

It is an invalid theory, and that has been known for years.

That remark of yours is on par with your claim that Osama bin Laden has been dead for years when in fact you were unaware that bin Laden sent a tape to the Pakistani government in 2010, which simply means that bin Laden wasn't dead for years as you have wrongly claimed. In other words, we cannot take you seriously for obvious reasons and your track record is that evidence as to why we cannot take you seriously.

There was one barely audible and partially recreated audio tape , which was verified by an unnamed expert pentagon voice analyst to be the voice of Bin Laden, in which he stated that he was in fact dead, and had been so for 17 months. What more proof do we need ?

Makes a person wonder when someone says bin Laden had been dead for years even though he released a tape in 2010.

If one has been trained to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, it is not a difficult leap to believe that Osama was killed by Obama, or any number of other crazy stories with heavy political overtones.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that since Osama bin Laden sent a message in 2010, he had not been dead for years as you have falsely, wrongly, incorrectly, and mistakenly claimed. And, may I remind you that al-Qaeda has confirmed the death of bin Laden in 2011 at the hands of American forces.

Osama Bin Laden Dead, Al Qaeda Confirms

CAIRO — Al-Qaida vowed to keep fighting the United States and avenge the death of Osama bin Laden, which it acknowledged for the first time Friday in an Internet statement apparently designed to convince followers that it will remain vigorous and intact even after its founder's demise.

Al Qaeda, in Web message, confirms bin Laden's death

Al Qaeda released a statement on jihadist forums Friday confirming the death of its leader, Osama bin Laden, according to SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors Islamist websites.

The development comes days after U.S. troops killed bin Laden in a raid on a compound in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad.

The statement, translated by SITE, lauded the late militant, threatened to take action against the United States, and urged Pakistanis to "rise up and revolt."

Bin Laden's death will serve as a "curse that chases the Americans and their agents, and goes after them inside and outside their countries," the message said.

We were told at the time that he was buried at sea to honor Muslim traditions. Are there any Islamic scholars out there who can explain to me how a nomadic, desert dwelling people developed a tradition of being buried at sea? Then can you explain why we chose to honor bin Laden in such a fashion while we didn't mind blowing the others to bits right where they sat? And if it now turns out that he wasn't buried at sea then why the ruse? None of this makes sense unless all of it makes sense.

I love conspiracy theories as much as the next guy, but this is plain nonsense.

First of all, what would be the possible motivation be for transporting that corpse around?

None, of course.

This particular conspiracy theory is dumb and pointless.

They did not. Except for the barbary pirates, who indeed were jugded by the caliph to be favoured by allah when dying at sea. But OBL was hardly a Barbary pirate.

Exactly, this conspiracy theory does not pass the first smell test.
