Antarctic iceberg 'implodes' caught on camera

Travellers in an inflatable boat captured the moment an Antarctic iceberg 'imploded' - from a vantage point that was very nearly too close for comfort.

Dutch video editor Lex Coppoolse captured the footage in Wilhelmina Bay.Coppoolse says, 'The thing just exploded very close to our boat - or I should say imploded! It spat big chunks of thousands year old ice to our heads.

Oh wow. The sound that when the ice hit the water before. Oh my god. That was awsome. Thankfully the people weren't injuried.

That was amazing!!! All those ice chunks hitting the water around them. They are lucky no one was hurt. :tu:
