Sw=aw the image thread was closed, hoping this is the right spot to put this.

Since Picasa shut down and Google photos took over, copy image address does not have a .jpg behind it. It works some of the time, but more often not than anything of late. Is there a workaround for posting images from google Photos? When I right click and select copy image address, the address I get from there looks like this:

https://get.google.com/albumarchive/113005532058160682152/album/AF1QipMji6ONzxCtjgLm6qNHjweduSDUSF7BGxSecPF4

Yea it's taking you to an album now, not an individual picture. The other problem is that the images are in .webp format, which is really inconvenient, so you could convert them to .jpg. Once you do this you can host them on a place like https://postimage.org

I know it's a pain, but thank Google for that. There might be a faster way, but this will work for a temp fix.

ETA: This is where I converted, this site gets good reviews but I can't vouch for them. http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-jpg

Other than downloading the image or hosting it elsewhere, all I can suggest really is linking to the page rather than to the image itself.
