  1. 1. Which came first?

    • The chicken
    • The egg
    • Both the bird and egg must have always existed

What I meant by the third choice is simply eternity. I'm going with the egg.

It has to be...........The egg to have come first... But not laid by a chicken.. I think the parents of the 1st chicken egg were slightly different...

Heh, I dare say dinosaurs laid them, which was why I voted chicken and egg.

Chicken (as a metaphor.)

If the first creatures were single celled organisms that reproduced by dividing themsleves at some point there was a mutation that lead to eggs and this "chicken" would have laid it.

Chick Born Live, Not Hatched

04/20/2012

The BBC is reporting on a fascinating animal oddity from Sri Lanka: a chicken that was born live rather than being hatched from an egg that the mother chicken incubated in the nest.
