I saw this article in a BBC (UK) news article about the search for E.T. they are asking if they can have some use of your personal P.C on a part time basis to track incoming radio signals from space in order to decode them, this is on a voluntary basis.. the site is seti@home.com..does anyone know anything about this site ??

I used to have seti@home installed on my computer. It allows you to participate in the seti program by crunching numbers for seti.

My problem was when it was running on my computer it took too much cpu usage. I think it can be set to limit this, but I couldn't figure out how, so right now I've shut it down. It's a great program, though.

Another one is Planet Hunters:

I've been doing that recently. It's easy to learn how to do it once you understand the instructions.
