losing track of reality and dreams?

im beginning to lose track of what happens in real life and what happens in my dreams.

okay ive been diagnosed with CFS and lots of things has been troubling me recently. sometimes i go to sleep, have a really realistic dream and when i wake up, i think its really happened. for example, a while back i dreamt that i was in bulgaria (i live in england) i woke up and asked my mum when we were going back to england. and LOTS of things like that have happened.

i dont think ive ever experienced sleep paralysis or anything but its driving me CRAZY :unsure2:

a week ago i even had a dream that my friend paid for violin lessons for me, so the next morning i walk up to her and thank her for the violin and the lessons she was really confused.

and the other day my mum says i woke up screaming 'like i was being murdered' in the middle of the night and that i ran into her room and cried and hugged her really tightly. the weird thing is that in the morning when i woke up i remembered having a dream about (my bedroom is right at the top of th stairs so i can see down into the dark ) a shadow of someone in a top hat walking up the stairs and into my room and there was something EXTREMELY disturbing about it, but the dream felt so real.

when i was a toddler i had awful night terrors, my dad said once i woke him up screaming and when he ran over to my cot/bed my eyes were rolling like something out of the exorcist and (this happened before i could speak) i screamed 'Help Us'. they took me to a night terror specialist and she said 'so you think molly-anne's possessed' they were like NOOOOO.

I have a sibling who has had similar experiances with being unable to differiniate between dreaming and reality. I'm not sure what "CFS" stands for, but its typically a bad indication of mental health when you cannot tell the difference.

What kind of slep studies have you had done. Have you seen a nurologist. Sometimes these things are affected by diet. A low iron obsorption will cause your symptoms. I'd bet a good sleep specialist could help you.

The other option is to develop altered state awareness skills. I spend much time in meditation and being conciouse of the diffrent places of the mind. Some dream awareness might help you deal with the veil that you are crossing. It could start off as simple as creating a dream journal.

Either way see a nurologist specializing in sleep. You might be surprised at how an easy fix might come about.

Let me now if you have anymore encounters with hat man. Ive got a few tips far takeing control of shadow characters.

yes i have a VERY low iron count, i take vitamins for it, i talk to all my doctors about it they don't really seem to care much, last night i had a dream i was in bed and something came out of my wardrobe and grabbed me by my feet and dragged me into the dark. i dont think the house is haunted its only 7 or 8 years old, but i read some stuff about the hatman and he sounds really similar to the person in my dream.

Ok yes. This has happened to me. You need to set a trap. We should switch this over to pm now. You can take care of this problem I promise. I can show you all the tools you need.

Now about your iron see if you can get a liquid iron suppliment. The solid iron in your vitamins is just passing through your system. Your iron problem is most likely about obsorption, so it does no good to take it in solid form. A liquid iron solution will obsorb 10 times better. Many doctors actually seem cluess about certain issues... You have to go directly to a specialist and bypass all the red tape in between. A sleep specialist will take your problems seriously. Other doctors will probably just say your stressed or depressed when there are real physiological things happening.

Attacking this on both fronts is your best bet. I can help you with overcomeing the things in your altered states. While you attack the iron problem and the fatigue.

Pm if you are ready to take care of your wardrobe friend.

One more thing... So that you are aware my educated guess is that you are suffering from sleep deprivation because of your low iron obsorbtiin. Your rem cycle is being inturupted. And although you are sleeping you are not getting enough rest. This would explaine your dream world crossing with your physical one. These are interesting places to explore, but when it affects your physical life in negative ways it needs to be delt with.

Talk to you soon.

Have you ever asked your doctors what type of medicines you are supplemented with? Because sometimes it might be the medicines. Just ask your doctor if its purely vitamin tablets and explain to him your worries..I am sure he will get you sorted.

On an added note, have you ever had any treatment for insomnia or do you think you are a person having undue anxiety? I ask this because, I have seen many cases were people report such incidences because of their lack of sleep and probably due to something worrying them. if its chronic and for no reason, it is termed as 'undue anxiety' which, very pften causes throwbacks like this one. However, if its not frequent, I suggest you dispose it off as nothing, but merely 'the nature of your dreams' because most dreams trick us into feeling that they are very real, wheras, they are hardly real.

Ok.... Well then let's take control then. You need to start learning how to overcome shadow. I don't discuss it outside of pm... The skeptics out there are clueless to these internal things and just interupt positive learning.

Pm me... I will walk you through everything I know to take care of the negative aspects of your experiences. I will not leave you hanging, and I will always be available. I do know what you are going through. If you want to be rid of it, it's going to take some work, but I promise it can be done, and a huge weight can be lifted off of you.

Yes these things are often passed down... It dosnt surprise me that your father is this way. PTSD or not. People like us are more sensitive to negative imagery and concepts. We have to deal with it on a more concouse level than others that deal with it Barried in their subconcouse. It can be hell... But if channeled in the right direction and delt with properly it can open up to things you never thought possible.

I'm here if you decide to trust me.

It is my understanding that our dreams are in fact starting to follow us into our awakened state of consciousmess. This makes them more realistic and may account for the vivid nature of our experience with these dreams.

There is a web based radio program that is dedicated to dream research. Here is a link to their next program.

You can also listen to the archieves if you find that this information is useful.
