Clarakore Posted June 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2012 There are some suggestions at the end of the article that describe how to time travel through meditation. It is not what you think as classic time travel but if you could go and change something physically then why not mentally? Can you travel back into your past and alter something that will change yourself in the present? And could you travel into your future and also alter your present? It looks like it might be possible, and it’s not science fiction. Both Einstein and the Eastern mystics have explained that what we call the past, present and future are an illusion: A fabric of space/time, in which all exist seamlessly together. In this view, “…the future and the past are not any different, so there's no reason why you can't have causes from the future just as you have causes from the past," according to David Miller of the Centre for Time at the University of Sydney in Australia. And now, some new thinking and research suggests that, in fact, the present can change the past, with implications for the present; and, that the future can also change the present. This is known as “retrocausality” and has interesting implications for your life — at least, metaphorically, aside from the quantum physics it’s based on. It’s that you might be able to change something about your present life that was originally set in motion in your past. Or, that you might be able to use the future — even though it hasn’t “happened” yet, from your time-frame, to also change something in the present. http://tinyurl.com/6rj49b2
StarMountainKid Posted June 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2012 I think the point of the article is to make changes in one's psychological behavior in the present by imagining changing something that one has done in the past. Psychologically this may be mental time travel, but it isn't changing the reality of the past.

bLu3 de 3n3rgy Posted June 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2012 It might have an impact on the future if one goes back and heals issues mentally and emotionally from the past using deep meditation and astral projection techniques. When 'projected' to a deeper/higher layer of consciousness, emotional issues can be faced and processed in a way that is not overwhelming or traumatic like it can be on the ego consciousness level. Meditation allows a person to get underneath the fabrics of their ego / defences / triggers and it can be vastly healing to be able to perceive events and issues that are still interplaying with them in the present moment in a different light. Arguably it can be said that the past and future feed into the present moment. Emotive events are not set in linear memory or time space, if something triggers an old pathway then boom the person can be re looping something from the past and if that's where their consciousness, energy, intention gets stuck then they are reinforcing the past back into their future. Clarakore Posted June 7, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted June 7, 2012 So what of retrocasuality? And nothing physical changes, true, because this method can only influence the past (from the present) or the present (from the future).
