All options in the tool bar are greyed out

When I reply or start a new thread the task options (Quotes, insert links, upload images etc) are all greyed out.

Is it me, or is it something else?

I did this...in the top left hand corner of the reply box there is a switch ...click that and it should come back to normal..

Ah, i've noticed that before. yes, as Bri says, you've probably got the editing mode toggled off. The icon in the top left corner. I'm not sure why such a function is offered, but I suppose someone must find it useful.

One mode is the WYSIWYG editor, the other is for inputting raw code.

If the icons are all greyed out then you have the raw code version enabled.
