The Moment Two Gorillas Are Reunited

19 posts in this topic

As some stressed parents know only too well, brothers don't always get on.But when these two gorillas were brought together for the first time in almost three years, they hugged as if they had never been apart.

Kesho and his younger brother Alf recognised each other instantly as they set up home at a new £3million gorilla enclosure at Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire.

Nice to see and touching..

Traits like brotherhood & loyalty, affection aren't the exclusive province of homo sapiens. Remember Binti, the Silverback gorilla who defended a child who had fallen into the gorilla enclosure from other gorillas ?

Wouldn't it be interesting to read their minds ?

I'd like to see the "2 days later" video where they have a drink and the younger brother remembers the bamboo airplane he spent 3 weeks lovingly crafting being smashed over his head by his Big Bro.

It may be 3 years to us but I wonder if it was more years to a gorilla? Like it's said for every year to us is 7 for a dog.
