Emotional Blacksmith

4 posts in this topic

Disaster struck

I felt the heat

Melted

I'm not what I was

Repoured

And malleable

Emotions are pounding

Smashing me into shape

They destroyed

And recreated me

Reformed

I'm not the same

But I'm made of the same stuff

Anger

Amusement

Guilt

Love

Rage

Delight

Shock

And despair

I walked the flames

Consumed, Devoured

Yet emerged

Rebuilt

On fire

I thought this was going to be a thread about a blacksmith crying.

Good poem.

Very good poem. The text is rather small though making it hard to read.

I think you have poetic ability or you're born with a poetic soul. Of course, it shouldn't matter if I thought otherwise. My opinion on the value or construction of this written work? You've used a lot of cliches. Try a few less common phrases. Emotions can do more than pound or smash you into shape. Dig deeper. Born again, recreated.. very popular way to put it.. everybody says those things. Suggestion- add adjectives to describe your list of emotions. And people have been walking on fire for centuries. O.k.?
