chris christie's speech at the RNC 8/28/12

I caught the last half of Christie's speech tonight. From what I saw was a good representation of patience being pushed to its limits. Leaders lead and they can no longer wait around and do nothing. I believe that we are on the forefront of the Second American Century. We just need to retire this Socialist/Defeatist attitudes that evolved from our bounty. I know we are not victims of destiny. We adapt and overcome. We are exceptional! When listening to Christie, the following popped into my head

I am not in NJ ,but we find Christy to be a pompous prat.

He is a nanometer from a massive heart attack, and he abuses his power .

He's not really popular in ny or nj .

From what I understand, he did bring his state's budget in line. That's what you elect a governor to do. To do the right thing. Not to be popular.

He doesn't do the right thing.

He's rude, obnoxious ,and abuses state funds to do idiotic things.

He had to get his act together,as his popularity ratings went waaaayyyy down .

He's kind of an ass

If he had ended up on the vice pres ballot, they would have lost votes in at least 4 states.

NY,NJ,CT,and Pa.

He's speaks to his constituants ,as if they are garbage .

Never cared much for the guy...kinda reminds me of a bully - Soprano wannabe. He's had his issues with "fibbing" to the people as well...don't remember all the details...something about a rail line tunnel or something. Feel free to correct me...I just recall he got some egg on the face for not being completely forthcoming about budgets and impacts.

Yeah he balanced the budget...by raping education...which is always a great idea isn't it? (Pennsylvania is doing the same thing)

You want people off the dole? Teach them something! Federal controlled public education is a joke (no student left behind means no student gets ahead also)...it SHOULD be controlled by the states...but...stripping it's funding is equivalent to shooting yourself in the foot and then wondering why you can't walk anywhere. Educated people are for more self sufficient than uneducated people. Creativity, ingenuity, entrepreneurship...all springs from a well grounded education...

and people wonder why our status in the world rankings continues to plummet.

I think Christie's appeal is just an anti PC backlash that's forming. He basically says screw being "polite" and says what he means. If that makes him an ass then I guess he's an ass. Nothing else has worked so why not elect an ass for a change? And unless he loses weight no worries about term limits, right?

Well,to his credit ,I think his speaking his mind ,is a truth about him,but most of his motives, are not as altruistic as he would have us belie e.

That's what I don't like about him .

Dan Halloran ,is my community board official, and they had him on the news, cursing a blue streak at a business owner ,who totally abuses neighbors in really inconsiderate ways, and everyone assumed this was a career breaker ,and we all got on the facebook pages and defended him.

That guy should run for mayor .He's actually running for congress .So it depends .Christie is not always for the people. He just says he is..

Doing it loudly ,just makes him less palatable to some. As he is actually downright rude in some cases.

  • 1 year later...

So, it's 'real' news if it backs your claims?

I posted the links before the CNN fiasco. See the date.... but given dozens of news agencies, and people giving testimony under oath are backing it up it, I dare say it doesn't matter who reports it.

But small independent news is the way to go. I think I posted a few of those too, or I can find some if it will make you feel better.

It's out there now, and the truth about him is finally coming out.

As its three separate incidents now.

Tut tut

Christie may be a pushy putz but I think I would vote for almost ANYONE who could break the left's stranglehold on power. I really don't know if we can turn things around now before America crashes but if Hillary and crew are inaugurated in 2017 then it is OVER for the America I grew up in. All the lost promise - it's enough to make you cry...

I doubt he represents any real change. Especialy when he is calling guys like Rand Paul "dangerous"
