We - both of us - are not alone.

Our 'oddness', with each other, we can atone.

Our fears dissipate, and in that space we can create,

something that 'God' could not conceive.

Hmmmm, A challenge..

I would like a poem or song, about humans and aliens comming together and working together for a common goal. Something

inspiring, uplifting..

P.S..

Will try and get some more challenges comming our way.. :tu:

Glad you decided to repost this challenge because I thought I saw it then later saw it had been removed? Good thing because I began writing last night but finished just now. Hope it doesn't seem too morbid because it is rather inspirational for me.

It was a black day when they came

I'd just woke up from an accident

wrong way on the interstate

with hate

telling me I was to blame

for the family

Who died in the same hospital

the war of the mind

drove into serenity

of mother and child

then from outside my window

ships in the sky

Aboard one a psychologist

who'd soon stand before me

peering into fallow fields

of a haunted mind

light in her hand

my deep desire to change the past

And by default she explained

the future too

health and hope restored

not just for me

soon mother and child

stood there with us too

Challenge. Give me an original sad story, song, poem about a dog.

two of my friends, i had a few more

you were mine

never had doubt of mind

but i was young

and they say years for you go by faster

oh wait up

by time i got home you were gone

my cousin had told me you passed on

describing the way your tongue fell out

oh hold on

something is wrong

you were mine when i had no other friends

didn't make me feel inadequate

when i prefered to pretend

i thought i could be there

this time i was armed

not even foresignt could extend

to the day you chased a car

didn't stop when you got crushed

to the vets

was promised we'd rush

when in your pain you bit my hand

sorry for betraying you

carring you the wrong way

had to go to a human clinic

oh hold on

i'll be there soon

Challenge: Emotion at the airport...

I'm sitting in a Delta bar

Terminal E, waiting for my baby

The plane is late and time stands still

I just can't wait to tell her how I feel

Along the paths of Avalore

Where sunset doth meet Earth and Sky

Another drink, another song from

Someone's Iphone passing by

Another plane, a late arrival

Patience drained, it's pure survival

Finally the large white bird is flown

Happy travelers faces smiling

Forget this day, forget tomorrow

Nothing here but pain and sorrow

I'm left standing all alone

Challenge. Give me an original sad story, song, poem about a dog.

A chicken's life is pretty boring

Laying eggs and scratching round

For corn or bugs, what can be found

A pen of eight with proper wire

Built to keep out predators

Who could have guessed the neighbor's dog

A Pitbull full of Rage and Fire

Would break it's chain and

Break the wire, keeping safe the little spurs?

Arriving late upon the scene

Of carnage, littered chicken wings

With Magnum powered gun in hand

To end the Pitbull's final stand

But finding dog just laying, panting

Half hearted giving chase to rabbit

Tired from all the chicken chew

No heart was found that day to kill

He just did what Pitbulls will

He just did what Pitbulls do

The neighbors found him better home

Where chickens and toddlers do not roam

And just to make a safer pen

A hurricane fence was added in

I challenge a poet to write an epic verse with this as your theme:

The Lord Jesus: Wild Oats Years (The Gospel According to the Girl Next Door)

Go for it.

Challenge. Give me an original sad story, song, poem about a dog.

I want to be the person

my dog thinks I am

I want to be honored

that he finds ecstasy in my touch

I want my devotion

to equal his unchanging love

I want to be his guardian

from all danger or trial

I want to be loyal

even to the damned

I want to be noble

by faith and forgiveness

I want to belong to him

even when he closes the gate of life.

Hmmm, I'd like a poem that sounds like a majik spell. ..

here you go...

Beware Beware the games you play

They will revisit you someday.

Take heed of all your wayward thoughts

You’re evil plans will come to naught.

Do not dig pits for one and all

You alone in them will fall.

Careful where you set your nets

You’ll only catch your own regrets.

By strong deceit you’ll never own

You’ll only end up more alone.

Be mindful of your hearts intent

For in its depths your life is spent.

Challenge: Buddahists in South Georgia

Cool Challenge... Thank's for posting!

lol, the last line "quoted bit" is my lame attempt at a southern american accent.. hope it works..

Buddist in south Georgia..

I'm a Buddhist in south Georgia and I do not read the News,

The papers squawk and political talk only serve the blues.

I'm a Buddhist in south Georgia in my world there is no strife,

the Principles and Dhamma has brought meaning to my Life.

I'm a Buddhist in south Georgia, I seek all noble truth,

In Poetry and spiritually to keep my mind in youth.

I'm a Buddhist in south Georgia and I wouldn't hurt a fly,

When people pass they always say, "wan't that nice guy!"

Sorry I haven't participated much. I would like to catch up with some challenges soon. * :)

I have a challenge for you: A deep and moving personal poem about Apples. What they mean to you.

Guess I'll give the apples a go... I always remember going to my uncles house and climbing his apple trees. To this day, I've never had a better apple. The crisp was so amazing.

A tree that gives

and never receive

altruism is so close

it's hard to see

The roots gently bind

the trunk to the ground

its dangling fruit

will soon touch down

A boy with a grin

the summer near end

he's been waiting so quiet

for the tree to say "when"

As the first one falls

he scrambles his feet

and with a crispity snap

he sinks his teeth

The new batch of apples

so gloriously neat

their skin so tough

and their meat so sweet.

The apple sustains

such a big grand smile

but the boy already knows

it only lasts for a while

The apples all fall

mason jar's pop you can hear

the crispity snap is lost

but there's always next year!
