running into my ex wife at my daughters upcoming wedding yikes!

Well that one looks inescapable, so think long and hard and rehearse what you will say and do.  I think I would smile and nod and then see what she does.

What would really scare me is if I were to run into my former wife at a wedding, since she died twelve years ago.

Mine's quite an ironic fear. You see, i like marine animals and creatures, yet i suffer from thalassophobia myself. The ocean is truly an interesting place, yet so dark, unexplored and massive, who knows what might be lurking down there where humans have yet to descend. But it's not very bad and i always manage to keep this in control watching documentaries and stuff dealing with the deepest part of the ocean. A little unsettling, but still amazing. Still, the darkest, depths can make me go nope at times.

Snakes, snakes, snakes. They scare the bejesus out of me. My wife is even worse. She won't  even watch them on TV.

I fear to loose the reins of imagination, and conjure up all the horrors that lurk in the depths of the subconscious, foul and monstrous, to appear seemingly tangible in the living world and terrifyingly real.

Not trying to make you feel worse, but it can happen. Been there, done that.

Yes, and I've tottered at brink of that abyss, also. Don't look into the dark.

Death is highly over-rated.

Desert centipedes.  Huge nasty predatory creatures that can latch on and bite the crap out of you.  I hate those damned things.  Mosquito Hawks.  For some strange reason they bring out the 4 year old boy in me.  If one lands on my body I lose all reason.  I will crawl through fire to get away from it.  Friends and family have made the mistake of throwing one at me and had to clean up the aftermath.  I will pick up a couch and throw it if necessary.  O. O

Whistling at night.  Don't do it around me.  I will cut your lips off.  I was brought up on stories of things that happen to people who whistle into the night and the night whistles back.   You tend to be a little twitchy about it.  Don't do it.  You will need your lips.

Suba diving in a cave and an extremely narrow passage in an regular cave.

I have no reason to be afraid of these things because I will never do these things but I can't even watch people do it on TV. I hyperventilate.
