Posted image....gone

Why do posted images from just a couple of months ago disappear?

Example from July this year:

Is it because it was gone from the site I probably linked to, or did the attached file disappear?

.

Hi Abe, in your example the site you linked to removed the link

In this case your link is still there. The image seems to be missing from photobucket. It is possible that this is a temporary issue, photobucket may have a glitch, and the image will return.

Could of been taken off the sight it was linked to. I've went back to old threads, clicked on the link and the place I linked to was gone..

Abramelin had downloaded the image to photobucket, which is an image hosting site. It is not hot-linked to a site which might have removed it. Why it no longer exists on photobucket I have no idea.

Thanks DotNM, I just discovered why I only read "Posted Image", and not some square with a red cross inside.

Since a few weeks I use FireFox, and apparently they do things differently from IE.

Now I switched to IE, I saw it was a pic on my own Photobucket account.

However, during all those years I have that account, I can't remember ever removing an old pic by acccident.

But thanks anyway everyone.
