Share a favourite 'forgotten' Album

You know, those little overlooked gems that few know about.

I'll start off with the 1986 Album 'Infected' by the band: 'The The'

The whole album exists as a string of videos because Channel 4 approached Matt Johnson and with the promise of a complete free hand offered to film it.

I remember an interview with Matt at the time where he talked about the creative process and his 'vision' for the videos.

If you watch the video's you'll clearly see that he had a vision for the 'film' version, If memory serves he talked about the moment at which he found the limits of his 'free hand'.

I remember him saying that his vision for one track involved him painting himself red (as Satan) and standing on a pile or rubble m********ing wearing a marigold glove. That was apparently the 'line' for them, so you won't see it in the videos!

This is a great album. A truly great album.

I thought of one: "Illinois Speed Press",. From their first album 1969 with the original members. I remember them from when I lived in Chicago.

Ministry "With Sympathy", 1983

I grew to like this after hearing it played repeatedly at work as I created experimental sculptures for a holography studio back in 85.

It's especially notable today for the fact that Ministry changed its sound so very much as to seem like a completelly different band (just take a listen to Ministry psalm 69 or NWO)!
