You can also have a look at Shaolin monks, or Tibetan monks. If I'm not mistaken, I've heard that a Shaolin monk can throw a needle through a sheet of glass. Or ones that can hear a song once and then play it back virtually note for note. Some of them have 'special' .. or extraordinary, abilities . Most also seem to be lacking in some 'ordinary' abilities .
