I know this is going to surprise you...but Drudge is my home page. I don't listen to Mainstream Media. I get my news from Drudge, Rush, Hannity, and The Great One, Mark Levin. But, I do hear what the media says because Rush is always playing a 'montaj' of sound bites...and they all say the same thing...it doesn't matter ABC, NBC, it doesn't matter they ALL say the same thing...and whatever they say is the same thing that comes out of the White House press room. It isn't arguable...it is just a fact....BUT..

I will tell you WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT DRUDGE...he has a tendency to Tilt a story to the Right even if it isn't. It is the headlines...and I know Headlines are meant to capture your attention and get you to read the story and there is an art to them and all that...but a lot of times the headlines ARE blatant falsehoods, and when you read the story it doesn't jive at all with the headline.

An example of Drudge exaggeration:

An example of MSNBC exaggeration:

VIDEO SHOWS BUSH GOT EXPLICIT KATRINA WARNING

In both cases the headline is blatantly falsely accusatory, aimed at the 'base'. The Drudge link is to NBC and says nothing about blaming Obama. The MSNBC link shows a video of a briefing Bush received about Katrina. The only one's damning Bush in the link was MSNBC itself. There was nothing outrageous about the video.

So...the game is played on both sides...all of it meant to sell news. We just have to be rational and know that Bush did everything he could do, which, given the circumstances of Katrina was...not much. And...Obama is doing everything that he can do, which, given the circumstances of Sandy is...not much.

People...you have to be SMARTER than the Media thinks we are!

Election not withstanding...I'm getting pretty fed up with SPIN...from both sides....that was what FOX news was supposed to be...YOU decide...but now it's all the same game no matter where you go.

Rush and Levin are two of the biggest problems we have in conservative media... the tilt/slant they apply to every thing and the cherry picking they do only makes things much worse than they actually are. Rush's arrogance is beyond deplorable. I suggest that you branch out your media intake... learn what others are thinking and get to the heart of a few facts instead of listening to everything that is right wing. Check out a few news outlets from across the pond... you may be suprised to see the facts they gather.

We cannot fight this battle if not informed properly and if you take in everything with a spin attached to it you will only get dizzy and start babbling nonsense.

Very odd how none of this was mentioned in the Oct. 9 background briefing to reporters... it tells a very different story. I really dont care who said it was an act of terror or when... I do care that little to no help was sent to them in a timely manner... I do care that we lost more American lives that day that could have been saved. I do care that before this attack happened they requested more security and were denied... I do care that it was known that an attack was coming. The brits and Red Cross both pulled out just days before this went down. Im no conspiracy theorist by any means, but this story DOES NOT add up.

Approximately 3:40 p.m. A security agent at the Benghazi compound hears “loud noises” coming from the front gate and “gunfire and an explosion.” A senior State Department official at the Oct. 9 briefing says that “the camera on the main gate reveals a large number of people – a large number of men, armed men, flowing into the compound.”

About 4 p.m.: This is the approximate time of attack that was given to reporters at a Sept. 12 State Department background briefing. Counterterrorism sources and internal emails reviewed by CBS News express frustration that key responders were ready to deploy, but were not called upon to help in the attack.

Another senior counter terrorism official says a hostage rescue team was alternately asked to get ready and then stand down throughout the night, as officials seemed unable to make up their minds.

A third potential responder from a counter-terror force stationed in Europe says components of AFICOM -- the military's Africa Command based in Stuttgart, Germany -- were working on course of action during the assault. But no plan was put to use.

"Forces were positioned after the fact but not much good to those that needed it," the military source told CBS News.

Do you even read information or do you pick through it and formulate the best pro-obama spin you can and post it right away without actually knowing what you are really talking about? Please, for the love of all that is good, read the information presented, do your own research and come out with FACTS and then form a real opinion, regardless of bias and party affiliation.

It has been shown time and time again that there were mulitiple ways that more help could have been sent into benghazi both BEFORE and DURING the attack that left Americans dead. So many resources available and went unused... calls that were made that went unanswered... A formal, deep investigation needs to be done on this situation. All of the FACTS need to be gathered, excuses need to stop being made and some one needs to put their big boy pants on and take responsibility.

Oh, and I know what the CIA is, if you would care to read my post here you would know that the Military and National Security are what I have done for a living my entire adult life. Furthermore, if what you said were the case, the initial report that was given to the media would not have been given, due to the fact that it lays down a plain, simple and factual timeline of events. Doing this and then releasing a separate timeline 3 weeks later only further damages the credibility of the administration.

When the administration broke the original information it was told that they couldnt get help there in time... now we are being told that they had feet on the ground 25 minutes after the attack began...

The official says a protocol set forth in a classified presidential directive calls for the Counterterrorism Security Group (CSG) to be convened in the event of a possible terrorist attack.
