Only 316 old English sheepdog puppies have been registered with the Kennel Club this year, while less than 450 offspring of the historic Pembroke Welsh corgi breed have been confirmed. When the job a breed was bred for is no longer around, or the needs of the culture have changed, then the breed has to change or else disappear. This is NO tragedy. Man made these breeds. I don't know much about other Kennel Clubs, but IMO, the American Kennel Club is one of the worst things to happen to domestic dogs as a species. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
