Fox News mangled huge Benghazi story

questionmark

Recommended Posts

Fox News may need a refresher course on how to run a correction. Its signature story on the Benghazi conflict, after all, carries a consequential amendment, though the public wouldn’t know it. The change, too, could call into question one of the network’s high-profile exclusives on the goings-on in Benghazi on the night of Sept. 11.

Jennifer Griffin’s Oct. 26 Fox News story depicts heroic warriors fighting against a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) leadership hampered by incompetence and indecisiveness. As Griffin tells the story, CIA security officials at a Benghazi annex that night received a call for help from the nearby U.S. diplomatic mission, which had come under siege from hostile Libyans. The security forces at the annex, in the account, agitate to get a move on, the better to deliver immediate assistance to U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and other Americans.

Attacking Fox instead of asking for information on Benghazi displays your bias. And it will make no difference. This one will NOT pass. Oby can impose his will to a great extent but if the drip, drip of this scandalous behavior gets too tiresome even the stupified masses will eventually ask for an answer and take note when it is refused to them. 2014 seems much closer, doesn't it? :w00t:

wait, wait... writing about fox's obvious and long history of bias exposed the OP's bias?

HAHAHAH!!!!

That's rich...

Your rhetoric is starting to reach tin foil hat levels.

This might sound crazy, and maybe it is, but the benghazi incident makes me very suspicious. I seriously think it may have been 'instigated' (on 9-11) .. to fan the flames of support for a WAR ON TERROR that lacked legitimacy from the start.

I don't trust the Washington post as much as you don't trust FOX. They both do what they do but even in the article it says that the WaPo is "unclear" wether FOX ever fixed their flub making the WaPo equally as guilty for not fully researching their story or just plain lying. Even if they are right they are not certain thereby just putting out unthought biased information. From the quote below from the article it's pretty clear that they don't even care. It's also pretty clear who they think needs to be scrutinized for honesty regarding this Benghazi deal and that goes for the op too.

"Unclear is whether Fox News ever issued a correction on its original report..."

I like it when the news makes the news about the news... wait... what?

Ya know? This has got to be the least important issue concerning Benghazi but the left will toot it. It's funny who they get mad at for not telling the truth. I think the bigger news story about the news is who's reporting nothing at all.

What are we talking about here? One guy reported to be there when he wasn't?

Is that the story? In what way does this minor flub affect the story itself?

Does it mean that the CIA actually responded in time and with enough force and that the four Americans aren't really dead?

Perspective, folks.

The mainstream media is but a joke, the propaganda apparatus for the federal government and those who control that government.
