The mayor of Newark,Cory Booker,has accepted a food stamp challenge after a Twitter exchange .

Food stamps per month total,ends up being 1.66 per meal.

The challange will last a week ,and will be monitored .

Let's see how they fare .

You can do it if you eat a lot of bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, peanut butter, eggs and water. That kind of diet will make you sick if you live in it for a while.

Edit Water is good for you, though.

Food stamps for a week? Man they will have a nice relaxing week of sitting at home, eating like a king, and sipping on martinis. They could probably use the left-over money to take a trip to the Caribbean! (sarcasm)

I would like to see how this turns out. So many people have no idea how little people actually get for food stamps or how government assisstance works in the first place...
