Still Waters Posted November 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2012 In polar and other cold regions there are ice, snow and water formations that are unusual, unique, and some of them so beautiful they take your breath away. Most of these wonders of nature can be visited only by scientists and rare adventurers who are ready for significant physical and financial exertions. Because of their volatility and locations, these formations can be seen only at certain periods of the year. http://www.theworldg.../ice-world.html

sarah_444 Posted December 1, 2012 #10 Share Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Stunning photos, every one of them. It would be a breathtaking experience to actually be at any of those places in person I bet. I have a memory of walking on the ice on some lake with my dad and looking out at the frozen waves. I was 3 or 4 then and it still sticks with me. Edited December 1, 2012 by sarah_444
