I can do whatever I want

14 posts in this topic

I can do whatever I want,

you can say that it is wrong,

but I am the highest form of life I know,

intellilgent,

and don't believe in much,

so I can do whatever I want.

Just don't get caught

is the name of the game,

don't get caught,

for who is there to see

but me,

and when I die

there is no one at all.

So I can do whatever I want.

I don't of course, a choice I make,

for there ar those I love and would want to lose,

so perhaps

i can't really do whatever I want.

An love is the real name of the game....

or is it?

Ha! That's funny the word intelligent is misspelled. I know it must be a typo, but still I find it so danged funny.

On a serious note, I'm reminded of two of my favorite poems, both by Edgar Guest; Myself, and Influence. If interested, those are located at the following links, although both can be found at either link.

That's what I've always said. You can do anything as long as you don't get caught.

You can do anything you want regardless of getting caught. Even in prison or as a slave you are free to make your own choices even if they limited by bars, chains and guards. Getting caught really has nothing to do with doing everything you want. Then again any punishment that I knowingly deserve I'd face knowing that everything I have done and will do will always be justified by the right person......... Me.

We all can do, whatever we want, as long as we're okay of ourself.

So are you sharing a cell next to Ian Brady?

Thinking you are the highest form of intelligence and thinking violating the rights of others is acceptable so long as you dont get caught are indications of a mental illness - Sociopathic disorder.

A good poem, and an accurate statement of life.

Yes, we can do whatever we want, as long as we are willing to accept any consequences that may result.

Some folks have no conscience. Some let the government determine their conscience.

The cops im assuming or anyone in authority that sets the rules and laws

I have come to understand that when this type of discussion takes place, the idea is more concerned with morals & ethics than criminal activity?
Just don't get caught

is the name of the game,

don't get caught,

for who is there to see

but me,

and when I die

there is no one at all.

Here the poem alludes at there not being any god, higher spiritual authority to judge your actions

I don't of course, a choice I make,

for there ar those I love and would want to lose,

so perhaps

i can't really do whatever I want.

An love is the real name of the game

And here the author is reestablishing a moral and ethical stance, apart of a higher being based on love of his fellow man
