UN climate talks conclude with few conclusion

Recommended Posts

UN climate talks in Doha are due to finish with little sign of any agreement between negotiators.

Developing countries say there is a lack of ambition among richer countries to cut greenhouse gases faster.

The EU and US say the global economic crisis means they don't have any extra money to help poorer nations adapt to rising temperatures.

And the host nation Qatar has been criticized for poor leadership in letting the talks process drift.

There are still outstanding disputes about finance, compensation for damages caused by climate change and allocations of carbon permits - so-called hot air.

What a shocking and unexpected tur... -falls asleep-

Edit: I feel like nothing's going to 'get done' about human caused climate change until a huge host of climate problems slams into things.

I'm afraid before anything gets done it will be too late.

As far as helping poorer countries, your not going to pay someone else's rent if you can't pay your own.

Social equity is the very foundation of a sustainable future. Only when a person feels secure in their position in the world can they stop to consider the implications of their actions and stop planning for an inevitable distater on the horizon. We are one big planet and we are in this together, we can no longer continue dumping our **** on those who to share the outcomes.
