Man describes his 20 years living in a sewer

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

A Colombian man has been living inside a sewer in the city of Medellin, in Colombia, for over 20 years.

Although Miguel Restrepo is legally homeless and could be forced out of the sewer by local authorities at any minute, he describes the cramped space he shares with his wife and dog as a great place to live.

Meh. He has his own pool, fgs.

El, cesspools don't really count as being "pools".

Thinking on that I suddenly don't feel too good. a015.gif

The Sewer Channel? lol

R rated of course with all those dirty programs it has on at all hours of the night and day.

Well, he certainly couldn't chastize his kids to "get their minds out of the gutter" despite what they were watching on TV!

20 years is a long time. He must be thankful to have shelter of any kind, awful when you think about it. :(

Indeed, Still Waters is correct. Despite all of our joking I'm sure everyone agrees that this is a sad and tragic situation. No one should have to live in a sewer.

Now I feel kinda bad about seeing any humour in it.

They can't kick them out. They have 'squatters' rights.

Look at the bright side, at least the dog didn't need to be potty trained. B)

Arrgh...between Eldorado and Biff I simply *can't* not see the humour here.

That said, I still feel really bad for the guy.

Some things in life I just can't resist Lilly, sorry. :D

22yrs he's been sitting on the can for, Lilly and he still managed to bag a wife, a TV and a dog! No need for sympathy, imo. Am actually kinda jealous.

(lol)

Wow, Eldorado is right...perhaps the guy hasn't done so bad after all.

Like they say, be it ever so humble there's no place like home!

I've seen much worse living conditions for homeless people right here in my own city. At least they had a roof over their head.

But I still have to wonder, do they ever notice when the dog farts?
