Let me try it this way.

Lets say there are 1,000 videos on youtube of alleged police brutality in the US, over a span of lets say 5 years.( each video representing 1 officer )Each video lasting about 5 minutes.

In 2006: ( more now )

There are as of 2006, 683,396 full time state, city, university and college, metropolitan and non-metropolitan county, and other law enforcement officers in the United States. There are approx. 120,000 full time law enforcement personnel working for the federal government adding up to a total number of 800,000 law enforcement personnel in the U.S.

5 years = 1,825 days

1,825 x 24 = 43,800 hours

1000 videos, 5 minutes each = 83 hours

800,000 divided by 3 ( 24 hours, 3 shifts ) = 266,666 officers

266,666 x 8 hours = 2,133,328 hours

2,133,328 hours x 5 years = 10,666,640 hours.

So, we have 10,666,640 hours in 5 years of working officers ( not counting overtime )

Yet we have 83 hours of youtube videos showing that " the majority of US police officers are bad "

I can not even get a calculation of the percent that is so low....

.00001% of US officers were filmed being bad in 5 years?
