Still Waters Posted December 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2012 The Snowman has been a festive favourite for more than three decades but now its creator Raymond Briggs has admitted he does not even like Christmas. The children’s author, now 78, said that he feels the season is over sentimental and said that his book in which the animated film is based is actually about mortality. A self-confessed “grumbler” he said that he found the film version of his book “a bit corny and twee, dragging in Christmas”. "But it worked extremely well," he said. http://www.telegraph...ding-money.html

Hasina Posted December 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2012 It being about mortality makes it all the more sentimental to me.
Bendy Demon Posted December 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2012 Umm..ok So..other than that, why should we care so much about what he thinks? If he doesn't care for Christmas, fine. Don't celebrate. Don't like CGI? Fine. Don't watch it. Prefer ultra frugality? Fine..go ahead. Don't like computers? Fine. Don't use them. Problem solved.
