stevemagegod Posted December 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2012 So im in my Bed, watching TV and all of a Sudden it starts shaking. It starts off slow and then moves faster. What really freaked me out is that i wasn't even moving, my Cat was not even in the room, and no one was home. And we don't live in a active Earthquake zone either. When it stoped i was just like wow what the **** just happened? Does anyone have any ideas what could cause it to shake like that?
Ashotep Posted December 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2012 Outside of an earthquake or maybe a train passing by your window I don't know. You say you were on the bed but wasn't moving but the bed was. That would of been freaky.

minera Posted December 25, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 25, 2012 Are you in your teens? It seems to happen frequently for teenagers. Not all but some. I know my kids had similar experiences.
Eldorado Posted December 25, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) Maybe you have an old Sensurround Mattress that they used to use in disaster movies and pornos, back in the 70's. Is it an antique bed? Edited December 25, 2012 by Eldorado

I know my kids had similar experiences. Nope im 20 Years Old. Personnel i think it could of been my Heart Rate or something. Cause i remember right before the Bed started to shake my Heart Rate started to speed up for some reason. But i dont think it could make it move at the pace it was "Vibrating" at. minera Posted December 25, 2012 #12 Share Posted December 25, 2012 I'm sensing... a euphemism? not really. my daughter was 17 when it happened to her. I never had the bed shaking experience as far as I remember, but I did get many sleep paralysis incidents and obe's, but more so under stress. I was around 17 when they started, that is why I was wondering...............

On my ipod i have this app called isesometer and its super sensitive. The other day i felt it shaking, not like the way it was shaking in original post, but very steadily where you would almost not even feel it, but it was there. I busted out this app stoped all movement from my body and i was able to get some pretty big spikes on it, on a flat surface to. Not familiar with the ipod app.....I am familiar with the ipod, and iphone a bit, and I am pretty certain they have nothing in them that can sense small movements, only a GPS, and the harder motions for games and such. I was trying to show you there are medical answers for this, thought you were open to that.

But like i said i just wanted to see if i was actually feeling it or if its all in my head. This is the app that i used. As you can see in the video its really sensitive and gives an accurate measurement to the vibrations. http://www.iseismometer.com/ [media [media]

But, the girlfriend was causing the bed to shake.....I did not go in depth on the reading.

PlanB Posted January 9, 2013 #22 Share Posted January 9, 2013 I used to wake up to my bed shaking and it freaked me out for a while. Turns out, while I was sleeping, my foot would involuntarily straighten out and kick the foot board. One time, it happened while I was barely conscious and everything instantly made sense. So while it was a big relief that my bed wasn't possessed by demons, a big disappointment that my foot was.
stevemagegod Posted September 26, 2013 Author #23 Share Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) Okay guys sorry to bump this topic, but last night it happened again. It hasn't to me in quite a few months actually. However last night it was pretty violent. It was shaking for like 2 minutes straight without me even moving(no one else was in the room too), and there was no Earthquake either. My bed is a King Sized Mattress and normally does not do that at all. I have no idea of explaining what happened last night. minera Posted October 4, 2013 #24 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I'm sensing... a euphemism? what i mean is that a few of my kids actually felt their bed shaking when they were young. i had similar experiences but then i realized that my muscles were trembling and it made it seem like the bed itself shook. i am a grandma and my 'kids' are all adults i was not intending anything rude. while i still get the muscle shakes they are more like spasms and sometimes feel like there is something moving around my legs but i know they are spasms. the trembling is most likely muscle fatigue.anxiety is also another common cause and underlying illness should be ruled out. it's not always paranormal.......
donktheclown Posted November 2, 2013 #25 Share Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) Listen, do this next time that happens: try to control what is happening - with your mind. Do not give commands out loud, just in your thoughts. See what happens. Maybe you are doing it. Edited November 2, 2013 by donktheclown
