Neil Armstrong’s 'one small step' origin

4 posts in this topic

It is the most famous and disputed quote in history.

Now, three months after Neil Armstrong's death, it has emerged that the first man on the Moon wrote the words to mark the moment he stepped onto the lunar surface months in advance and had always intended to include the notorious missing "a" in the speech.

Whatever do they mean? Hell, this was told right after they came home, in fact Neil talked about it in a interview when they were still in the isolation trailer. NASA had told him this was going to be a historic sort of thing and they thought it would be appropriate if he thought of something profound.

On top of that, if you listen to the actual transmission you'll discover there was a "glitch" in the audio and what Armstrong actually said was a little different.

God, what rubbish is reported these days. They can't even get a forty-three year old story straight.

I like his name. Neil Armstrong. Man kneels to something relating to "God" and our arms are strong to do work or something. The meaning of life in a way. He was the first Human I assume that has been on the Moon or another planet. They're a lot of words like that if you assume or don't assume.
