9 posts in this topic

Two centuries after the French people beheaded Louis XVI and dipped their handkerchiefs in his blood, scientists believe they have authenticated the remains of one such rag kept as a revolutionary souvenir.

Hi Simbi,

Article says blood was kept in a Calabash, which can be used as a container having a hard husk when dried!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calabash

It amazes me how humans in one way or another have used the calabash, actually it is thought that Queen Cleopatra used one filled with bees, and then gave it a shake, buzz buzz.

Hell, you work it out, hope no bees escaped ha ha!

It fits with my thoughts though, as the guillotine was set up in Place de la Concorde, next to the Egyptian Obelisk, i wonder what the french people are doing on engraving made four years after revolution on link below?
