The U Star ,universal translating machine ,is almost ready to ship .

It's about the size of a cellphone,and you speak into it in most Asian languages ,and it can translate into at least ten other languages ,including Thai ,Mandarin,Korean Hindi,Japanese ,Malaysia,Vietnamese and English .

Overall accuaracy rate is 60-90% .

No price for the machine ,is noted . I'm wondering if this can be done for Arabic and European languages .

It's not quite 'universal' till' they have all languages in it, but still pretty cool.
