Capitalism is a Cult

But fully public health systems consistently cost half the price of fully insured systems - and produce better outcomes. This is definitely one of those cases where utility trumps ideology.

Consistently and definitely baseless claims unless you can convince me with the evidence. Please don't start talking about prices consumers of health care pay in response to this. I'm referring to the costs that consumers don't see. The fungible costs paid for on the back-end in taxes.

I have discussed this extensively in threads on the European board. Go find them or take my word for it. This covers total per capita costs to the population.

Consistently half the cost for better outcomes. Even the US government has investigated this and found it to be true.

Yes. Certain officers even death camp ones were allowed into America after WW2. We still find one here and there. The ones put on trial were the fall guys.

I would think they'd all be dead by now.

And given the existence of the American Nazi Party, the German NPD, the Spanish ultranationalists and the Italian neo fascists we must conclude that brain amputated do not die out.

some one has to manage the play ground , or children can not play .

what is missed is that money has no value except that given it by the need of taxes .

taxes is all you have been talking about for the last 12 pages . economy is tax's sent to the goverment .

not one word about the song a kid writes and can not get play'd on the radio because the goverment is not there to force it to be play'd .

you assume markets , you do not say what right the goverment has in stealing the wealth of those who create .

its all about the money the goverment gets... your all about goverment .

play grounds that are managed by adults ... and your the adult .

define the words you use ... a capital is a platform on top of a pillar , to support a roof ...

it is also where you put a statue .

So we have had a hearty debate here about capitalism, fascism, socialism, etc. So.... Anyone have any ideas as to what WE SHOULD DO about the direction our (USA) system of government and corporatism is headed?

Break it and rebuild it from the ground up based on the original Constitution. The Laws Government Financial sytem everything...Itll hurt for a few years but theres alotta good stuff been done over the years that would be the foundation of a new America. Jobs can come from public works projects to reinforce our aging infrastructure and IT. Other then that theres nothing but mininmum wage jobs at the moment. Huge gains would cost huge sacrifices. We have the people with the know how it needs to be done but they are constantly shut down by our overseers.

Oh and stop being the world policeman until we get our own house in order.

What would it cost us. Alot of angry politicians and unemployed government workers (so sorry so sad). And likely the loss of the American dollar as the Worlds currency.

Or we can continue down this road:

It might be too late to be honest. Companies like Exxon, Cargill, etc. have bigger economies and more power than most countries. If we start over, I am sure they will step in and "ease the peoples pain". On their terms of course.
