Having a short break

Bonecrusher

Recommended Posts

Due to Ty's ongoing health problems I've decided to take a little break.

It's just that he needs continuous round the clock care from me and my sis.

So I can't possibly do that when I'm posting all the time.

However this steel implant he's getting in his leg has an 1% chance of him getting him a recurrence.

It could be that he might start walking on his own steam sooner than I think.

Until then I'll going to say ta-ta for now but I absolutely promise you I'm coming back.

This place is just too exciting for me just to disregard it like it never existed.

Thanks to everybody for engaging with me because it's been a blast.

Let's hope I start where I left off upon my return.

It's a shame to hear you're having a rough time, Medium.

I hope your troubles become lightened over the course of time.

Every one at UM is a supportive bunch. Take care until the time you return.

I'll keep your bar stool warm and there's a beer 'in the wood' for when you get back.

This forum does kinda get under your skin.

I'll have to say I absolutely love everybody who's replied to this to death.

I even like and respect the people who didn't which includes the guy who think's he's a time traveller from the future.

However I can only post within a small window of time which is two or three hours a night.

So anytime before eight or nine o' clock is a big no-no.

Ty needs to settle down and he can't because of binmen, the postman, cats,my neighbours daughter and the patriotic guy with the green car.

Btw I did something pretty heroic by clearing the access to the flat from snow and ice.

I just don't want to hinder Ty's progress before it's even started.

I don't think there will be any distractions after nine and I don't mean burglars.

I just wanted to make sure this window of time was okay before I kicked off again.

Yes, with a bit of fiddling, I'm sure I can fit you in between my policy meeting with the Prime Minister and the formal dinner with Queen Sirikit of Thailand. Just give your name to the butler on arrival.

I'll be sure to do that because I don't want to let you and Jeeves down.

Will they be spoiling us with Ferraro Rocher at this shindig?

I always wanted to partake in an ambassador's ball.

Ferraro Rocher? Certainly, I'll tell Cook to pick some up from the petrol station when she's out buying the peacock and lark's goolies for the dinner. BTW, the ambassador will be very pleased to learn that you've expressed an interest in his ball!

Chin's up,lads and lasses because I've not vanished yet.

My part- time posting is only going to last three more weeks.

It depends mostly on what happens after Ty gets his stitches taken out.

So if the vet decides that he's capable of walking down the stairs unaided I'll get really stuck in.

I'm thinking it'll be mid February at the earliest and maybe March at the latest.

Thanks to all the latecomers that have wished me,my sis and the dogs well.

I tried acupuncture once, but I couldn't help feeling a bit of a prick!

Hope you can return to bantering with us soon MB. I agree wholeheartedly, this place does get under the skin - and in a very GOOD way. We'll miss your input but look forward to your return - best wishes for Ty and Sis as well!

It's like a band of brothers here in this community.

One for all and all for one just like the Musketeers.

Despite me being not on the same intellectuial plateau your still looking out for me.

Tbh there's such glaring gaps in my knowledge you could drive a ten ton truck through it.

But I was correct when I said you could be as outspoken as you want and nobody would think the worse.

I actually relish the prospect of doing more bantering here.

Thanks again for all the compliments.

I'll be sure to pass this on to Ty and Kayla about all these nice guys on my forum.

I paid two grand of my own redundancy money to sort out Ty's operation.

That in itself is a pretty good turn but it's what happened next that makes mankind well worth preserving.

The woman at the Boxer rescue centre offered to refund my money with a cheque.

It might have come through a third party and not from her funds but it's still a brilliant gesture.

There might be scumbags in this world but there's also people with a heart of gold.

Ty's a really spoilt boy at the moment by getting the best food and care.

That's why I get the majority of his kisses because he knows deep inside I saved his legs.

If his recovery process goes pear- shaped I would pay for the operation again despite it eating into my overdraft.

It's the small things that make the greatest difference.
