Professor T Posted February 4, 2013 #77 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Red Sunrise.. (airy/spooky because everything was red, the colour was due to ash in the atmosphere from the Australian Bushfires a few weeks ago. & spooky because this was taken in New Zealand, a few thousand kilometers away from Australia..)

orangepeaceful79 Posted February 4, 2013 Author #83 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Winter sunrise, Mount Taranaki floating on the mist.. Awesome colors in this shot. I love it. Such a sense of vastness. I see you also managed to capture some bastardly powerlines at the bottom. They are the bane of my photographic existence, I swear. For some reason though, they work in this shot and give it some sense of depth i think. Really well done.

Oppono Astos Posted February 4, 2013 #91 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Love 'em...Where/how did you take these and the bear photos? The lion looks like she's on a picnic table. GREAT thread, orangepeaceful! and ALL great photos! Thx :-) The wolves are from when I was a member/volunteer at a wolf conservation sanctuary (socialized wolves, where we were part of their packs); the others are at zoos/wildlife parks, some while on photographic workshops - so closer access. The lioness is at Woburn in the UK, this was from the back of a rangers vehicle backed up to the lion's lounging platforms during a workshop; I was nose-to-nose with her thru the glass, I couldn't possibly focus with my DSLR, so had to use my compact - ironic that was the most pleasing image of the day!

Marcion Meets E. Sibyl Posted February 5, 2013 #94 Share Posted February 5, 2013 Spooky? I had to do something because I wasn't feeling the Noize -- I'm sure you understand. Here's a picture of my reflection in a "spooky" mirror at an underground klub (I made a point to capture the rusted mirror-frame):
