I am back everyone! Very interesting views on the matter. I in particular liked the story and experience someone posted about that haunted camera!

Remind me never to buy computer stuff at a thirft or used shop. The items might be haunted

Actually Q, you aren't far off what I was going to say. I believe that a person can open themselves up to demons by content they pursue online. Porn is a perfect example.

Hm. Kind of intrigued by the sound of this movie. Gonna search for it on Netflix and watch it before bed, lol might not be the best idea but whatever.

This topic kind of reminded me of The Ring at first, but since ghosts didn't come at them through the tv I guess it's different. I believe that ghosts can only get to you in actual locations, whether a building, or some land...I really doubt they would be able to come at you through a computer or something.

Ahhh I couldn't get into it, I don't know why. I was exhausted when I watched it, I ended up being really confused. Lol think I'll have to try it again when I'm not so sleepy.

Yes if you are sleepy these movies can be hard to watch. Its better when not so sleepy...

and when its dark :)

also its a good movie to watch alone

I've heard of many kind of hauntings such as entities that can messed up the electronics, shuting down the TV, radio ect and drain you batteries but I don't believe that they can come through computers and right up home to home as if it was a network of portal... This is in my opinion fiction stuff.

I was more worried about the internet....

because maybe they could live in a haunted site...

Seriously.. a Ghost on a website? I think you mixt up ghosts and spywares.

It is a well known theory in the paranormal that an entities can be attached to objects and people but I don't think it possible that they can hide in something such as your TV or your computer. As I said, this is fictional and you'll find that in scary movies and not elsewhere.

The hypothesis is that a spirit can be attached to a specific object, following it around where it goes. It is not ''in'' something but follows it, keeping track of it and haunt the places and persons where this object is.

In theory it could be it's very uncommon as far as I know. There has to be a reason why a spirit is attached to a computer. It is usually objects from older times that has a strong history.

UNFORTUNATELY the existence of anything paranormal has NEVER been proven, so I would not be too worried sir.

HOWEVER in this specific case - I feel a ghost will jump out at you... any... moment... now...

Edit: How can people try to make up rules for something that they even cannot prove exists :unsure2: 'We don't know if ghosts are real but we can easily define where they can and can't manifest from'

That depend who you ask. For some it has already been proven from the various experiences they lived and investigations they made. If you mean ''scientifically proven'' then no it hasn't and all the skeptics are not convinced. But let us remember what ''Paranormal'' means.

Paranormal is a term used to describe a whole range of phenomenon which the causes and mechanisms are apparently unexplainable by established scientific laws. The prefix ''Para'' means something out of the norm, the norm being here the scientific consensus of an era. A phenomena is qualified ''Paranormal'' when it seems to be unexplainable by known natural laws, letting then wide open the field for all kind of researches, interpretations, suppositions ect.

It is then not to be wondered why some consensus have been established in the ''Paranormal world'', between Ghost Hunters and believers from all kind of investigations and Paranormal studies made on the subject of ghost. Accounts of Paranormal activity are also important and allows patterns to be established and links to be made.
