Downward Spiral of The U.S.

Obama is America's greatest divider, ever. He is also a horrible and delusional leader who reminds me of a small child that tries to make up his own rules and kicks and screams when he does not get his way, then does it all over again a month later.

Meh, I hold to the theory that Obama has been killing people's pets. Maybe that would explain who some people have such a deep and personal hatred for him. Could be that I'm paying more attention to American politics but I don't recall Bush getting this level of irrational hatred when he was in office. Know plenty didn't like him but there didn't seem to be the same eagerness to start rebellions and civil wars.

I think just printing money, selling serious weapons to our enemies, expanding government and the welfare class, political correctness, a failed foreign policy, far left politians, corporate greed, an unaccountable mainstream media, and a general lack of common sense are just a few of the reasons, that I believe are causing this once great country to falter so far, so fast.

At times I actually feel real fear about what could/will happen over the next couple of years under Obama. At times like this I glad I'm older then younger as maybe, hopefully I won't live to see this country turned into what it seems to be destined to become.

I didn't even pay attention to politics back then but I damn sure remember Bush being despised quite well. The movie where he was depicted and assassinated in and recieved a standing ovation is the one thing that's always stood out for me. I'll never forget that.

I think it's a couple of things.

One, patience for this out of control government is wearing thin. It's been since 9-11 I think that more people are apt to pay attention to things and also that's when the constitution started getting some serious bad looks on the hill. I'm relatively young and especially new to politics. I haven't got a full decade of political interest under my belt yet.

Second IMO, this rebellious tone in the country has been set in high gear by the divisive tactics and words that come from our dear leader. He is a master at division and I don't mean math.

Bush was OK, Obama is OK. In fifty years it will seem like the difference between Teddy Roosevelt and Howard Taft.

I wish the UM history went back far enough to show all of the vile, childish articles and the things that were said about Bush. Here is but one example of the things being said about him.

It always amazes me when people say Obama is the hatest presidents they can remember. The press has given him virtually a free ride while they were all over Bush like white on rice...and so were a lot of people. If anyone disagrees with Obama they are labeled a racist.

I could see how this could be a build up of anger over the years, though personally I don't really see the divisive tactics. Obama seems to have caved to GOP demands several times during his first term. On the outside looking in it appears that the division is coming not from Obama but from those who have decided to hate him. I mean this talk of open rebellion is as silly as the talk of fleeing to Canada when Bush won his second term.

Oh there's no doubt that a lot of stupid things were said about Bush. That he was a war criminal, that he was stupid, that he was actually controled by Cheney, etc. But it didn't seem to get as much attention as the claims that Obama is a Muslim, that he's a socialist, that he's no American, etc. Perhaps with the news networks expanding they decide to pay more attention to the crazy to fill the hours. Likewise I like Obama more than I did Bush so my own bias could be colouring things. Still some of the stuff people get really mad about seem kind of silly. Ok yeah a pointless assault rifle ban is being talked about but Clinton put it in place when he was in office and was later ended. The GOP can block it this time and if not then the next Republican president can get rid of it. No need to march on the capital.

Though another reason why these views seem to prevelant could be the growth of the internet. It's much easier now to have ideas spread around so stuff that might have been ignored in the past since no one knew about it now gets spread around. After all most of the Obama hate I come across is on UM. :P

Well he couldn't have done it while in office. You would have been expecting that! Now they're saying Obama is going to throw you all in camps but I think he's too lazy. He'll just set up a tent for you and claim that he put you in a FEMA camp.
