Wise County deputies can't identify 'silver object floating in sky'

The blotter is derived from recent central dispatch records and incident reports of area police agencies.

Wise County Sheriff's Office

Oct. 16

A man in Wise — who assured he wasn't drunk, "it's not even 5 o'clock"— advised there's, "a silver object floating in the sky." He called dispatch a second time to say it was still visible and he needed an officer to respond and see it. He hoped a witness would prove he's not intoxicated or crazy. Deputies respond to the caller's location and observed the object in the sky, which they were also unable to identify.

Well, like the report said,...

The International Space Station ISS was visible in the southeastern sky from Wise between 4:18 PM and 4:28 PM.
