The first bionic hand that can feel

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

The first bionic hand that allows an amputee to feel what they are touching will be transplanted later this year in a pioneering operation that could introduce a new generation of artificial limbs with sensory perception.

The patient is an unnamed man in his 20s living in Rome who lost the lower part of his arm following an accident, said Silvestro Micera of the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Switzerland.

That is awesome.

Going to be weird if we ever get to a point where a bionic limb is superiour to a natural on.

Thought of this since ages, at last they came up with this thing.

I am eager to hear from the person, who gets this implant, how it feels like.

Will his hand be stronger than our hand?

Maybe? Maybe it will not be equally faster?

If scientists are able to able more efficient body parts than we already have then we may enter the age of cyborgs, I seriously think so.

Then when a little company called cyberdine comes along, well, I think we know how this ends.
