Lava_Lady Posted March 11, 2013 #76 Share Posted March 11, 2013 There is a primate research facility just a couple miles from where I live. They do get out every once in a while, but usually they don't get out for long and don't go far. If this is a chimp it's escape probably would have made the news, unless it was one of these idiots that own and raise a chimp (or other wild animal) and never tell anyone. that's what I think, one of those idiots that wanted an exotic animal then dumped it into a place they think is as good as their natural habitat. It happens so often in Hawaii that we've an amnesty law; you can turn in your illegal pet and you won't be fined our arrested. This island has no native species of snake but people bring them here, I don't know how, and we have seizures of illegal reptiles often. .
+susieice Posted March 11, 2013 #77 Share Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) I second that Mr Bison, It looks more like a bear than a monkey, even though this women dismissed this hypothesis. There is another unknown critter reported in Pennsylvania which fits the bill though : Read the rest of the story here :http://doloresmonet....sterofManorRoad Baltimore County is in Maryland, not Pennsylvania. But we have had our share of strange creature sightings. http://naturalplane....-sightings.html http://rense.com/general62/penn.htm Edited March 11, 2013 by susieice

But we have had our share of strange creature sightings. http://naturalplane....-sightings.html http://rense.com/general62/penn.htm My mistake, but it might be the same kind of creature since those two areas are geographically close when it comes to wildlife. Those swamp ape-like creatures are not Bigfoot though, but surviving Ground sloth who could walk both bipedally and quadrupedly, and can easily pass off as black bears when seen from a certain distance. Besides, a mangy ground sloth would also account for Werewolves sightings. Ground sloths were a diverse group exhibiting different kind of skull shapes. orcabear Posted March 13, 2013 #83 Share Posted March 13, 2013 That's an emaciated starving Bear. I’ve seen one once, was not a pretty site; it looked like a Giraffe with no head. It was so emaciated that the Bears legs looked like stilts. Have to admit it scared the crap out of me until I saw it's head. I saw it from a top a cliff looking down, I'm sure if I was in sight of it, it would have come after me.

Gummug Posted March 14, 2013 #86 Share Posted March 14, 2013 I think I'm going to have to see a psychologist because everytime I see or think about that creature I feel compelled to try and make a funny joke about it...and if it really is a starving bear, that's not funny for either the bear or for anyone it encounters...*shudders*

Oddly enough, this kind of report almost always sinks into oblivion without any further developements. For instance did your hear again about those giant octopus remains found in the Bahamas ?

Abramelin Posted April 8, 2013 #95 Share Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) Something weird is lurking in the snowy forests of Pennsylvania, and one woman claims to have captured evidence of it on camera. A woman named Polly took to Facebook a few days ago in order to post this photograph of a “sasquatch” that was snapped on her friend’s rural property. Like all great images of mystery creatures, the digital zoom has been clearly cranked to a max, making any kind of fine detail next to impossible to define, but it appears to show a gangly, crouched creature moving on all fours. Polly told Facebookers that the creature didn’t fear humans and moved like a juvenile primate: http://whofortedblog...l-pennsylvania/ It's the guy in the next video, but when he finally managed to leave the shop, he decided to continue his stroll on all fours : Edited April 8, 2013 by Abramelin
Columbo Posted April 9, 2013 #96 Share Posted April 9, 2013 According to her description it sounds like a ground sloth, this is not the first time a creature like this one is reported in Pennsylvania. But in the other hand the photo is too blurry to make it out. Do you have any info on these "Ground Sloths?
Thegreatsilence Posted April 10, 2013 #97 Share Posted April 10, 2013 There are several kind of ground sloth with different skull shapes, they can walk both bipedally and on all fours and they are long-legged. They used to live as far noth as Alaska.
