Invisible

9 posts in this topic

Go ahead and look right through-

Through this empty shell of a girl.

I’m invisible, you can’t see me

Nor can you see the pain that lives inside

Day and night

All the time

Never ending or leaving me

And loving her

The one that doesn’t love back

She looks through me too,

Though she claims she knew

Knew about everything

That’s why she cared

But now I know

No one comes close

No one sees me

I’m invisible

That’s all I’ll ever be

Poignant. I would say more, but I am biased. I loves you Blezzy!

If someone doesn't see you then they aren't worth seeing.

But what if the person is so special? Like, you aspire to be as good as them?

There's nothing like being over 60 for being invisible. It used to bother me, but I've figured out ways to use it to my advantage. And I'm also inspired by a poem written by Nikki Giovanni, especially these lines: we are all imprisoned in the castle of our skins and some of us have said so be it if i am in jail my castle shall become my rendezvous my courtyard will bloom with hyacinths and jack-in-the-pulpits my moat will not restrict me but will be filled with dolphins sitting on lily pads and sea horses ridden by starfish.
