pallidin Posted March 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2013 Curious case. She claims no lawsuit was filed. Who knows. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/03/12/report-judge-judy-sued-over-expensive-dishes/?intcmp=features
Eldorado Posted March 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2013 Made me think of "Revenge is a dish best served cold". (Divorces can be real nasty, and rather childish.)
Ashotep Posted March 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2013 I have never cared much for her. Thought she was very disrespectful to the point of being mean quit often.

No Censorship Posted March 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2013 If she appears in court, will the judge berate and insult her? She's often very cruel to the people on her show. It comes close to actual sadism. You would have to be a masochist to go on her show.

Collateral Damage Posted March 18, 2013 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2013 Judge Judy is one of the most rudest and unsentimental of judges I have ever seen. I love her!

Hawken Posted March 18, 2013 #11 Share Posted March 18, 2013 I don't know if it's all an act for tv or what but she's not very professional in her work by being disrespectful.
Collateral Damage Posted March 18, 2013 #12 Share Posted March 18, 2013 I don't know if it's all an act for tv or what but she's not very professional in her work by being disrespectful. Her work is to enforce the law via judicial standards. Not comfort one as if she was a psychiatrist.
pallidin Posted March 18, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) Well, I'm just glad she wasn't my judge in various low-level misdermeanor's. I think she would have thrown the book at me, along with a chair and a kitchen sink. Edited March 18, 2013 by pallidin
Hawken Posted March 18, 2013 #14 Share Posted March 18, 2013 Her work is to enforce the law via judicial standards. Not comfort one as if she was a psychiatrist. I've never seen judges act that way in court rooms and I've served on juries. But then, I was in real world courts. If they show it on tv in real world then the ratings would drop and the show would be cancelled.
lightly Posted March 20, 2013 #15 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Right Mag, it's a TV show after all... her "abrasive" style , and her being mean, is the appeal.. for many.
DKO Posted March 20, 2013 #16 Share Posted March 20, 2013 The only times I saw Judge Judy snapping towards someone was when that person was first rude to her. She's blunt and straight to the point, I don't mind her.
