Looks like a lot of Egypt's tombs are being ransacked because of the bad economy and lack of guards on the historic sites.

Yeah nothing new here. Torusim will still be strong in Egypt and guards will stay because of the tourism

I am surprised there is anything left to raid. Most of it is either in the museums or the thieves have sold it over the centuries, unless they are now stealing the stones.

There aren't many guards on the tombs anymore and they are digging up burial sites that haven't been touched in the past. Tourism is dead in Egypt.

Not too sure about that now. Been a bit of a ruck over there lately, doubt the travel agencies will be mentioning it though.

Tourism went under after all the fighting started in Egypt. It is listed as a dangerous travel destination for tourists.
