Ashotep Posted March 28, 2013 #9 Share Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Google took on a lot of the excess traffic or this might of shut Spamhaus down. Sounds like a bunch of people got mad because this company wouldn't let their spam get through to peoples inboxes. I didn't notice any difference in my internet speed. Still Waters Posted March 29, 2013 #11 Share Posted March 29, 2013 Was 'the biggest cyberattack in history' all just a PR stunt? It has been called one of the biggest ever cyberattacks in history, one that nearly broke the internet. But did you even notice? If not, you're not alone … http://www.guardian....attack-pr-stunt
SHaYap Posted March 30, 2013 #12 Share Posted March 30, 2013 Specialists contacted by the site reported that the attack, major as it was, had "a severe impact" on the websites it was directed at, but it certainly did not shake the internet to its core. kneejerk and shameless PR marketing ploy to make ill informed PC users to make 'purchases' and booost the numbers for fat bonuses
