In this experiment, a bottle of water was supercooled to -21C and then poured out in to a bowl.

put a bottle of pop (soda to our cousins across the pond) in the freezer and chill it down to just above freezing and then open it, the expansion of the carbon dioxide lowers the temperature (gas expansion needs energy, it's how your fridge works) and instantly freezes the liquid!

supercooling not required, and you end up with lovely dr pepper flavoured ice-cubes!
