Simbi Laveau Posted April 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2013 http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Hemlock_Grove/70242310?mqso=81003024 I heard a few whispers about this show,to not dismiss it,just because its a made for netflix streaming series. Eli Roth is the producer, and I keep hearing its quite good. I have streaming,so I went to check it out ,and much to my surprise, they are already up to episode 13 . I will be checking out a few episodes tonight. The plot involves murder of a young girl ,is all I know.

CloudSix Posted April 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2013 I saw some trailer/teaser where a guy turns into a werewolf and it's quite gruesome Really realistic portrayal of a metamorphosis
Mekelyn Posted April 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2013 I have watched 4 episodes so far and if they removed some of the "sex" this show would be on the CW channel right there with The Vamp Diaries. Boring.
kallisti Posted April 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I watched the whole season. Not because it was good, but because it was entertaining enough. The overall premise is very interesting and it has some cool gruesome moments but there is something greatly lacking. The acting and the script are super cheesy (except for Lily Taylor, she is always solid). The show started getting better at the end of the season so I hope there is a season 2 and that the writers and actors grow with the story. Simbi Laveau Posted May 1, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted May 1, 2013 I just started it . It's ok . I seriously dig Frankenstein girl. The plot is more involved than CW plots, and yet again ,a Skarsgard boy is a major character . I will watch a few more episodes before I decide if its schlock or it rocks . And I tried "Fringe", which lasted for four seasons, and I couldn't stomach it. Does it change after the first few episodes? I mean, "Firefly". which was extremely well done and well written, only lasted for one season. And poorly written "Fringe" lasted for four seasons. I mean, "Defying Gravity",. which lasted for ONE season, while very well-written and extremely interesting, while hard-to-stomach "Fringe" (not the actors, but the writting and episodic concepts are horrible) lasted four seasons. What is the deal?

What is the deal? I couldn't get into Fringe either . It had a promising cast and story line ,and just fell flat for me . Same with Grimm . I watched the first episode of HG . I liked it . I will watch it just to see how it turns out . I love Frankenstein girl .She's a new entity for sure.
